SPLA PROGRAM
The Speech Language Pathology Assistant Program is a distance learning program which trains students to become Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs). After completing the program, graduates can apply for SLPA licensure (requirements vary by state) and work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). SLPAs assist SLPs in providing therapy to individuals with speech, language, and communication disorders, helping improve overall communication and quality of life. This career offers diverse opportunities to make a difference in the lives of individuals with communication disorders.
- Enroll in the Foundations of SLPA Course by fall 2026
- Garner a minimum of 25 observation hours.
- Applications open in October 2026.
- Cohort will begin in January 2027.
