Murray State College has posted another enrollment increase, with an additional 5% growth in headcount enrollment over the prior spring semester. This is the continuance of a growth trend that includes a 10% increase in Fall 2024 for a total semesterly increase of 38% since 2022.
“Our growth in online and concurrent enrollment, as well as our academic centers of excellence, are driving the momentum we’re seeing,” said Becky Henthorn, Murray State College Provost. “We have an incredible team working in enrollment management under the leadership of Kandy Rutledge, who is meeting our students where they are and helping them reach their goals.”
In Fall 2024, Murray State signed a memorandum of understanding with Durant School District to bring the Accelerated College Experience (ACE) Program to rising sophomore students, making it the seventh regional school partnership.
Public schools like Ardmore and Sulphur have credentialed
“As the workforce landscape evolves, there is an increasing demand in local communities for educational opportunities like academic credits, professional certifications and degrees,” said Adisha Chapman, Chair of the Murray State College Board of Regents. “Murray State is meeting that demand for many critical occupations in our region.”
Murray State’s programs in nursing, child development, health science, and health, wellness, and human performance continue to grow, driving the increases in enrollment.
