Murray State College was named the most affordable community college in Oklahoma by OnlineU. According to OnlineU, Murray State shines in accessibility.

Murray State has not increased its student tuition for seven consecutive years for residents, off-campus and non-residents. The college faculty and staff work hard to provide excellent educational opportunities and support services. Murray State has recorded six consecutive semesters of enrollment growth and budgeted $10.1 million for student scholarships and grants for the upcoming year.

“Our ability to keep costs consistent is largely due to the hard work and dedication of our faculty and staff,” said Dr. Tim Faltyn, Murray State College President. “Our online courses provide relevant and accessible educational opportunities that best meet the needs of the people and industries of southern Oklahoma and North Texas.”

Murray State offers more than 15 online associate degrees in areas such as applied technology, business, elementary education, and health science. For the second year in a row, EduMed.org named Murray’s online child development degree program one of the best for overall quality, affordability and commitment to success. This year, the college’s Occupational Therapy Assistant program became fully online, and Veterinary Nursing developed an online degree option.

“Our diverse range of online programs opens doors to higher education for a broad community of learners and provides the support students need to succeed,” said Amy McCain, Murray State College Dean of Online Campus. “With online student success rates closely aligning with the traditional course delivery, this recognition reflects our dedication to delivering flexible and effective learning opportunities that empower students to excel, no matter where they are.”

Online courses can provide flexibility to working adults and distance learning options to those who cannot attend in-person classes. Murray State prides itself on offering quality, affordable courses with a full suite of wrap-around services to meet the needs of every student.

"At Murray State, students gain more than just an online degree,” said Dr. Tim Faltyn, Murray State College President. “We provide the tools and support they need to excel in their classes and plan for their future.”
