Murray State College’s 2024-2025 graduating class is now the largest in the school’s history, surpassing last year’s total of 507 graduates. Earlier this month, 538 students earned either an associates or a bachelor’s degree.
This milestone coincides with significant academic growth, including a 143% expansion of the college’s nursing program and the introduction of a bachelor’s degree in Gunsmithing Technology.
“This record-breaking class shows how our expanded programs are helping more students succeed,” said Becky Henthorn, Murray State College Provost. “Whether it’s a new certificate or a fully online degree, we’re creating more paths for students to reach their goals and prepare for the workforce.”
Murray State has also introduced an associate degree in Communications, a new Law Enforcement option under its Criminal Justice program, and a business certificate in Administrative Accounting. Additionally, students now have the opportunity to pursue online studies in Agriculture, Industrial Engineering Technology, and Health, Wellness and Human Performance. These additions exemplify how the institution is meeting students where they are and preparing them for the workforce.
“Aggie Nation is expanding its capacity to meet students’ diverse needs—and that’s why they continue to choose Murray State,” said Dr. Tim Faltyn, Murray State College President. “We’re not just growing in numbers; we’re growing in impact. Every new program, every flexible learning option and every dedicated faculty member play a role in transforming lives. I am incredibly proud of the work our team does each day to support student success and contribute to the educational and workforce development of the communities we serve.”
