Regent Chapman lives in Ardmore, Oklahoma with her husband, Scott, and two kids. She received her bachelor's degree in letters from The University of Oklahoma.

She is part of a multi-generational ranching family. Chapman recently retired as a GED instructor for the Ardmore Family Literacy program. She co-owns an oil consulting company, Concentric Consultants, LLC.

Chapman was appointed in 2012 by Governor Fallin, and then again in 2019 by Governor Stitt.
