The Murray State College Shotgun Team secured the 2026 ACUI Collegiate Clay Target Division IV National Championship for the second year in a row. The team won the title in the following categories: Classic All-Around Team, Sporting Clay and Super Sport. 

“We’re incredibly proud of what this team has accomplished, especially in just our third season,” said the shotgun coach,” said Scott Robertson, Murray State College Shotgun Team Coach. “Back-to-back national titles speak to their dedication and the culture of excellence they’ve built.

Sporting Clay Team: Tate Boyd, Hayden Hilliary, Hunter Miller, Brett Pray and Owen Robertson.

Super Sport Team: Tate Boyd, Justin Jones, Hunter Miller, Brett Pray and Owen Robertson.

Murray State’s team competed against 16 other teams from across the country.

“The team has quickly established a standard of excellence and a strong competitive identity,” said Dr. Tim Faltyn, Murray State College President. “Their commitment, focus and teamwork continue to set them apart. They’ve elevated our profile, energized our campus and shown what’s possible when a program is built with purpose from the ground up. Their success is creating new opportunities for our student-athletes and strengthening the future of our athletics program.”
