Murray State College sophomore softball player Taylor Bankston signed a national letter of intent with Mid-America Christian University in Moore, Okla. on Thursday, November 3.
Murray State College softball has been ranked as one of the top 20 teams of 2015-16 in the category of academic excellence. When team grade-point averages (GPA) were submitted to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association, MSC tied for 17th place nationally with an overall 3.31 team GPA.
Murray State College Softball will host a camp from 1-5 p.m. for high school students in grades nine (9th) through 12 on Sunday, October 9, 2016. The cost is $45 and all participants must preregister. Check in for the camp begins at 12:30 p.m. at the softball field.
Murray State College will host a free softball camp for students in grades two (2nd) through six (6th) on Sunday, September 25, at the Murray State College softball field from 2-5 p.m. Participants may check in at the softball field beginning at 1:30 p.m. Participants must preregister by printing a registration form on the MSC website at mscok.edu, completing and mailing to Coach Marie Stone. There is no charge for this camp.
Murray State College freshmen catcher Sydnee Hinkle has been named NJCAA Division II 2nd Team All-American. Hinkle is one of only 32 young women in the nation awarded NJCAA Division II All-American honors.
