Study Abroad in Costa Rica in Spring 2017

Earn one to four credit hours of Humanities or Science through Murray State College’s Global Education Studies course offered in the beautiful and fascinating country of Costa Rica. Students will stay 7 nights in Le Suerte at the Maderas Rainforest Conservancy Biological Field Station. We will hike the trails on a 1000 acre conservancy property in the biodiverse landscape that is home to hundreds of plant, insect, amphibian, reptile, bird and mammal species. We will also spend a day at Tortuguero where will be able to zip-line through the tree-tops. All meals while at the field station are included in the total cost.

COST: Approximately $2500. Includes: Airfare, lodging, most meals, airport transfer, cost of required activities, in-country transportation and 3 credit hours. Student will be responsible for: travel insurance (mandatory for travel on this program), money for snacks, miscellaneous spending, guide or driver tips, Costa Rica exit tax, and passport cost. (Minimum extra funds should be ~$300) A $300 non-refundable deposit must be paid as soon as possible. A second payment of $875 must be paid by Jan 10. The final travel payment of $1000 will be due by March 1. The credit hours of tuition will be billed to the students MSC bill.
