Plans announced for Farmhouse Fundraiser at Murray State College

The MSC Foundation will gear up for Homecoming (Oct. 30-Nov. 4) by hosting a farmhouse fundraiser on October 28, 2017.  The event will raise funds for agriculture student scholarships at Murray State College.  Cost of the event is $30 per person and includes a family-style ribeye steak dinner with beverages and live music.  The dinner begins at 6 p.m. at the Murray State College Farm in Tishomingo.

Other events planned for October 28 include an official dedication for land donated by the Fred Chapman family and a reunion of livestock judging students from 1966-77 and their coach Harold Fogleman.  The 5 p.m. land dedication will be followed by the livestock judging reunion which continues throughout the evening.

“There is a great deal of support for our agriculture students, and last year’s farmhouse dinner was a huge success. It will be a wonderful evening with good food in the company of great friends,” MSC President Joy McDaniel said.

The dinner will be followed by a pie and cake auction to benefit scholarships for agriculture students.  For contributions and information, contact Malynda Cobb at 387-7101 or
