MSC Softball Falls to Rose State in Doubleheader


The Murray State College softball team fell to the Rose State College Raiders in a doubleheader on Saturday, April 16.

Game one of the afternoon ended with an 8-10 loss for the Lady Aggies. Sloan Springfield threw four innings and struck out two batters.

Freshman Sydnee Hinkle recorded two RBIs on two hits for MSC. Hinkle doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the sixth.

Game two ended in a 4-12 loss for the Lady Aggies. Freshman Audrey Simson pitched more than three innings for MSC and struck out three batters.

Freshman Katie Caraway singled in the second, fourth and sixth innings.

The Lady Aggies will stay home and face Eastern Oklahoma State College at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 21.
