MSC Lady Aggies Beat NOC-Tonkawa

TISHOMINGO, Okla. (February 5, 2016) - The MSC women’s basketball team battled with NOC-Tonkawa in a neck-to-neck contest Feb. 4 in Beames Fieldhouse. The Lady Aggies (14-11) pulled through the evening with a 70-65 win over the Lady Mavericks (7-17).

The game was closely matched up to the final minute. Through the majority of the game, neither team held more than a five-point lead.

The first quarter totaled 16-13 in the Aggies favor. At halftime, MSC held a six-point lead over the Mavericks.

MSC fell behind NOC in the third quarter to 51-54, but the Aggies were able to score their way back to the top for the victory in the last two minutes of the fourth quarter.

The Lady Aggies were lead in points by freshman Bailee Eldred with 24 points on the night.

Strong rebounders for MSC were sophomore Mercy Agwaniru with 12, and sophomore Shay Lynn Bass with 10.

MSC will travel to El Reno, Okla. to face Redlands Community College, Tuesday, Feb.8. Only three more home games remain in the season for the Aggies, playing Seminole State College, Feb. 15, Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, Feb. 18 and Eastern Oklahoma State College, Feb. 25.
