MSC falls to NEO in first soccer match

The Murray State College Men’s Soccer players now have one match under their belt. The team took on Northeastern Oklahoma A & M College on Sunday, August 24 in Miami, Oklahoma. The team fell 5-0 against the Division I Norsemen.

MSC Head Soccer Coach Shane Ross says they lost to a well-organized team.

“We were riddled with silly mistakes and were physically dominated” says Ross. “Thanks to some outstanding goal keeping by Jake Cox we were able to keep the score down. Our next game is against an even better team and will require better fitness and more knowledge of the game plan.”

The team next takes on Northeast Texas Community College on Friday, August 29 at Mt. Pleasant, Texas. The first home match is Saturday, September 20 at 4:00 p. m. at the Ardmore Soccer Fields. To celebrate the game, there will be a tailgating party starting at 3:00 p. m. The party is free and open to the public.
