MSC Basketball Standout Hannah Howard Selected for NJCAA All-Star Game
Lady Aggies Basketball Standout Hannah Howard will represent Murray State College in the 2017 NJCAA All-Star Game in Niceville, Fla. July 23-26.
“I was honestly shocked when I found out I was selected. I knew Coach was going to submit my name, but I didn't really think I had a chance to actually make it! It's nice to feel like all of my hard work has paid off! God has blessed me with the opportunity to play basketball, so I can thank him by being the absolute best that I can possibly be,” Hannah Howard said.
Howard is one of only 40 players in the nation selected to attend all-star weekend.
“Hannah has been a tireless worker since she has arrived on our campus and I am very excited to see her work pay off by receiving this honor. Being picked as one of the top 40 freshmen in the nation is a tremendous honor and I know Hannah will represent Murray State College well,” said MSC Women’s Basketball Head Coach Justin Cellum
Addition to being a key player on the Lady Aggie’s basketball team, Howard is also active in Future Christian Athletes (FCA) and is a President’s Scholar.
“This is a great honor for Hannah and Murray State College Women’s Basketball. We couldn’t be more pleased than to have Hannah representing MSC and Oklahoma in the Upcoming NJCAA All-Star Game,” MSC President Joy McDaniel said.
Howard will begin her sophomore year in the fall and is double majoring in English and Psychology. She hopes to one day be a children’s counselor and a youth pastor.
