MSC Baseball Tops NOC-Enid


The Murray State College baseball team swept the NOC- Enid Jets in Enid, Okla. last weekend.

Game one ended in a 6-4 victory for the Aggies. Sophomore Luke Jones homered in the fourth inning and singled in the sixth inning, racking up three RBIs for MSC.

Freshman Lane Rice, freshman JT Watt, freshman Jason Burt, freshman Luis Fuentes and freshman Dillon Lawrence all saw time on the mound. Lawrence allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three. Fuentes threw two shutout innings and got the win for the Aggies.

The second game of the afternoon ended in an 11-2 win for MSC. Sophomore Fernando Garcia singled in the third inning and homered in the seventh, earning two RBIs on two hits for the Aggies. Freshman Joseph Shepherd also earned a home run for the Aggies, earning three runs for MSC.

Freshman Greg Greenwood, Watt, Burt, Fuentes and sophomore Tristen Pendley all spent time on the bump in game two. Watt held NOC-Enid hitless for two innings, walked two, struck out two and allowed five runs.

The Aggies will stay home and battle against Carl Albert State College at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 5.
