MSC Baseball Sweeps Carl Albert


The Murray State College baseball team swept the Carl Albert State College Vikings in their final home doubleheader of the season.

Game one against Carl Albert ended in a 9-5 victory for the Aggies. Dillon Lawrence threw two strong innings for the Aggies, striking out three batters.

The game was closely matched in the sixth inning, but the Aggies held off the Vikings with an RBI single by Austin Ferguson and an RBI double by Joseph Shepherd.

The second game against the Vikings resulted in an 8-7 win for Murray State.

Luke Jones, Joseph Shepherd and Marten Pauwels homered in game two. Pauwels recorded three RBI’s on one hit for the Aggies.

Lawrence clinched the win for MSC, throwing a shutout inning and striking out two.

The Aggies will face Carl Albert State College at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 7 in Poteau, Okla.
