MSC Baseball Star Signs with Southern Arkansas
Murray State College sophomore baseball player J.T. Watt committed to further his education and baseball career at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, Ark. earlier this month.
When asked what he will miss about MSC, Watt said, “I will miss the closeness between our baseball coaches and players.”
Watt plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree in agriculture business while at SAU.
MSC Head Baseball Coach Zach Crabtree said, “J.T. Watt is a top-notch young man who pitched in every role possible for us last year. He is a very versatile left-handed pitcher that I would describe as a grinder and a gamer. Watt’s work ethic and character are as good as anyone we have had in the last seven years at MSC. Southern Arkansas is getting a really good pitcher and an even better person.”
When asked about what he looks forward to the most, Watt said, “I look forward to competing at the next level and becoming a better player.”
President Joy McDaniel said, “We are proud of this outstanding young man and his accomplishments on and off the field. I know he will continue to excel at Southern Arkansas.”
Watt will represent the Aggies on the mound for one last season before heading to Arkansas.
