MSC attends southeast Oklahoma legislative tour


Murray State College student leaders and administrators were joined by the Honorable Charles McCall, Oklahoma’s Speaker of the House (back center), at this year’s Southeast Oklahoma Legislative Tour hosted by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education. Held in March at Pete’s Place in Krebs, Okla., the statewide initiative is a yearly event designed to bring together local legislators, college presidents, and community leaders to discuss higher education goals, initiatives and agendas for upcoming legislative sessions.  Pictured with Speaker McCall are (from left – back), MSC Vice President Dennis Westman, MSC President Joy McDaniel, Advancement Director Malynda Cobb and Vice President Becky Henthorn.  On the front row (L-R) are MSC Regent Dr. Kay Helm, MSC President’s Scholars Program students Katie Carroll and Ross Priddy, and MSC Communication Director Cheryl Phelps.
