MSC Aggie participates in All-Star Weekend

Richardson was one of forty athletes chosen to participate in the National Junior College Athletic Association All-Star Weekend in Niceville, Florida. Participants were selected by a committee from the NJCAA Women's Basketball Coaches Association.
Richardson and first-year Aggies coach Justin Cellum made the trip earlier this summer, and spent three days on the campus of Northwest Florida State College for the event. The athletes were grouped by positions to participate in small group workouts, and also spent time practicing with their teams to prepare for the all-star games. During the three days over forty 4-year institutions were present to evaluate the athletes.

“This was a great exposure opportunity for Tierani, and all of the players,” says Cellum. “Tierani played very well both games and was an outstanding representative of Murray State College both on and off the basketball court."

Richardson, a 5’3” shooting guard, is the daughter of Chuck and Rena Richardson from Ardmore. She was a stand-out player for the Sulphur Bulldogs, and was a member of the 2013 3A State Basketball Champion Team. She will be back this year to play for Cellum and the Aggies.
