Bankston Commits to Mid-America Christian University
Murray State College sophomore softball player Taylor Bankston signed a national letter of intent with Mid-America Christian University in Moore, Okla. on Thursday, November 3.
When asked about her thoughts on MSC and her new journey, Bankston said, “Murray has become my second home. I have been blessed to be a part of such a great program with supportive teammates and coaches. I will miss MSC, but look forward to the challenges of a university and a new softball program.”
Bankston, a Rattan, Okla. native, is a criminal justice major and plans to eventually pursue a masters in psychology and become a forensic psychologist.
President Joy McDaniel said, “We congratulate Ms. Bankston on her commitment to Mid-America. We know she will continue to excel on the field and in the classroom.”
Murray State College Head Softball Coach Marie Stone said, “We are extremely proud of Taylor for signing with MACU. She has been an exceptional teammate, a great member of our program and an excellent student. We know she will continue to be successful and wish her the best of luck.”
Bankston will represent the Aggies on the mound for the last time this spring before she continues her softball career and education at Mid-America.
