Aggie Baseball Sweeps Redlands


The Murray State College baseball team swept the Redlands Community College Cougars in a doubleheader on Saturday, April 9.

Game one of the afternoon ended with a 14-3 victory for the Murray State College Aggies. The Aggies had the lead early in the game with 11 runs in the first three innings of play. MSC recorded one home run in the game by Sophomore Luke Jones. Freshman Dillon Lawrence threw five strong innings and struck out four batters.

The Aggies continued fighting  in game two and finished the day with an 11-0 win over the Cougars. Sophomore Marten Pauwels homered in the third and fourth innings allowing MSC to wrap up the game in five innings. Freshman Greg Greenwood pitched all five innings of play and struck out one batter.

The Murray State College baseball team will stay home and play NOC-Tonkawa at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on April 14.
