Aggie Baseball Players Sign Early


Wednesday marked the first day of the National Collegiate Athletic Association early signing period.  Three members of the Murray State College baseball program signed national letters of intent to continue their baseball careers at the NCAA Division I level.

Chase Watt (sophomore) has signed with the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Watt played 47 games at shortstop for the Aggies in 2014 and hit .345 with 15 stolen bases.

Jacob Martinez (red-shirt sophomore) has signed with Houston Baptist University. Martinez, who sat out 2014 due to injury, played a critical role in 2013 for the Aggie baseball team that won the National Championship.

Trenton Dupre (sophomore) has signed to pitch for Washington State University in Pullman, Washington. In 2013 Dupre logged 66.2 innings pitched, with 51 strikeouts and 13 walks.  He finished the season with an 8-1 record and an earned run average of 2.84.
