Aggie Baseball Drops Two to NOC-Tonkawa


The Murray State College baseball team dropped two games to the NOC-Tonkawa Mavericks on April 16 on the road.

Game one ended in a 3-6 loss for the Aggies. Sophomore Marten Pauwels homered in the top of the first and freshman Chandler Robertson singled in the second inning and doubled in the fourth inning, but it wasn’t enough.

Freshman Lane Rice threw five strong innings for the Aggies and struck out six batters.

The doubleheader finished up with a 4-5 loss for MSC. The Aggies used three different pitchers in game two, with freshman Jason Burt, freshman Greg Greenwood and freshman JT Watt each pitching two innings. Watt struck out two batters while Burt and Greenwood struck out one.  

The Aggies will travel to Altus, Okla. to take on Western Oklahoma State College at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 21.
